Re: Problems downloading Saavvii

Hi screamer,

the file you should be downloading is SaavviiWordSetup.exe.  If you´re having problems opening it with the browser, right-click on the download link and select ´save as´.  After it has finished downloading, double click on it and it should run.  If it still fails (not a win32 program), and you are sure the file is the right one, then the only thing I can suggest is that the file downloaded incorrectly (is corrupt).  Try downloading it again and see if it works the second time.

Please let me know if this helps or if the problem continues.

Sincerely,
Andrew

Re: Problems downloading Saavvii

Hi Andrew,

It took two days and several machines working all together, but I was able to get a working copy. The first few copies said not a "win 32 program."

In any case, now my issue is on the installation side. I keep getting the macro warning regarding the Trust  Center. My Word installs both have, "Disable macros with notification" and there is no other warning message when I change this. Can you give me a Foolproof / Dummy installation method.

The could turn out to be the killer app of 2009.

Re: Problems downloading Saavvii

Hi Screamer,

  you have identified an issue!

Under Word 2003, make sure that  from the Menu:  Tools --> Options --> Macro Security --> 'Trusted Publishers' tab --> 'Trust all installed add-ins and templates' is set to true.  If not set, the add-in will not run.  You can set this after installation.

For Word 2007, under 'Word Options' --> 'Trust Center' --> 'Trust Center Settings'  , make sure:
  - 'Add-ins' --> 'Disable all Application Add-ins (may impair functionality)'  is NOT set

I haven't found the 'Trust all installed add-ins' equivalent in 2007, and I have not been able to replicate your problem in 2007, so hopefully that is enough...  but it might be hidden somewhere in all the options.  Let me know if this solves your problems.

Which version of Word and Windows are you using?

Cheers,
Andrew
